Mysterious Masked Face Sculptures That Are Also Planters

I’ve been seeing the cutest planters in stores like ones with cat and bunny ears or even a funny, little face on one side. Of course, this makes for a most amusing place to pot your favorite house plant. Imagine the “green hair” growing in with the cat ears or the funny face. They made me smile, so I thought about buying them. Instead, I decided to create my own version. Being an artist of strange things, I thought I could make mine better, or at least, a little, more strange.

They ended up taking a lot more time than I thought they would…a total of about 1 month. Maybe, they were worth the effort. They certainly came out mysterious with those masks. And maybe, they are a little ghostly with so much white skin and clothing. Do you have any funny planters? Would you like a face to make your plant have more personality? Do you think these two planters are part of a Secret Society of Magical Creataures?

Little Thank You Drawing on Thanksgiving

It’s Thanksgiving and I just wanted to wish you a wonderful holiday. I hope you enjoy your friends, family and great food today. I will be doing the same thing. I’m thankful that I can draw, cute little drawings like this thank you card I drew for my sister after she helped me through a really dark time in my life. I’m thankful to have friends in whom I can confide when things get hard and painful. What has you feeling grateful for today or any day?

Work in Progress of the 2018 Giant Robot's Post-It Artwork: Bunny Girl Drawings

I actually finished one of those little post-it artworks. It’s, of course, a Victorian Bunny Girl. I think she is going to love being in the Post-It art show at Giant Robot….oh the places, she’ll go….oh the things, she’ll see!

It's That Time of Year Again....Giant Robots's Annual Post-It Show (Work in Progress)

How long have I been in Giant Robot’s Annual Post-It Art Show? I don’t know. I really should take time and look back and count the many years. Nevertheless, come every November, it’s that time to make more tiny, post-it artworks again. As you can see below, I’m starting that work. My goal is to get 9 little drawings done before I must package them up and send to Los Angeles for the art show which starts in December. I’ll post more of the work in progress in the days to come.

Nine little post-it drawings that I will color and send to the Giant Robot’s annual Post-it Art Show in December.
